It is used for insulating industrial equipment generally as secondary insulation behind either dense or insulating hot face materials.
It is usually used in Aluminium reduction cells; Aluminium melting and holding furnaces, Anode and carbon bake furnaces, Pipelines and power generation boilers.
Application or interface Temp. Limit for the product is 900℃(1652℉).
The non-flammable characteristics of the product also allow its application in building and civil engineering.
The basic raw material used is diatomite mined from local area. This material has a little impurities thereby offering enhanced physical and insulating properties.
Diatomite is a sedimentary rock primarily composed of the fossilized remains of unicellular fresh water plants known as diatoms. Over the millennia the diatoms have been compressed to create one of the most effective mineral insulating materials known. Diatomite consists of approximately 90% silicon dioxide, with the remainder of its contents being elemental minerals. All of these unique factors make diatomite the premium grade material for insulating and refractory application.
